[Ferro-alloys.com]Xiangtan Electrochemical Scientific Ltd.(Xiangtan Electrochemical) published its financial report of H1 of 2014 recently. Its revenue reached RMB 0.2854 billion in the first half year, down 13.41% year-on-year and the loss was RMB 32.4 million (USD5.23 million).

In the first six months, its EMM output was 6400 mt, down 13.36% year-on-year and EMM sales was 6700 mt, down 14.44% year-on-year.

According to the report, influenced by slowing domestic economy, EMM industry was in short demand. At the same time, EMM price and EMD price dropped due to severe overcapacity and fierce competition. Sales price declined further than production cost, which resulted in loss in H1.
