Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to statistics released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the US produced 1.722 million short tons of crude steel in the week ended on October 20th, falling by 0.8% from a week earlier and decreasing by 3.3% in comparison of 1.781 million short tons in the same period of a year earlier.
In the given period of time, the capacity utilization rate of the US steelmaking facilities was at 69.3%, lower than 70.3% in a week ago.
