Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] Recently, the steelmakers in Northwestern Europe have realized the price rise of €20/ton for section steel products for September deliveries.
Also, the section steel prices have increased in Southern Europe.
At present, the transaction prices of section steel for September deliveries in Germany are at €610/ton, rising by €10~€15/ton from a month earlier.
It’s said that the European steelmakers are mulling to raise the prices of section steel further for October deliveries.
Meanwhile, the European steelmakers have reduced the production recently in order to balance the supply and demand.
Currently, the steel mills in North Europe operates capacity utilization rate at 60% and steelmakers in South Europe operates at 50%.
