It is reported that Hubei Xin YeGang Co Ltd has finished the mission of energy conservation and emission reduction within 11th Five Year Plan period two years ahead of schedule by closing and upgrading a slew of small blast furnaces, electric furnaces and coking works.

 

As per report Hubei Xin YeGang Co Ltd has shut down its 35 tonnes coal fired boiler at the end of last year and replaced it by a natural gas burning boiler, which helps the mill reduce 560 tonnes emission of sulfur dioxide per year. The mill still achieves saving 1.25 million tonnes of standard coal and decreasing SO2 release of 1250 tonnes annually by launching a big forging mill as a substitute of its former gas works.
