Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to report, Japan’s Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless steel said it has settled the third quarter contract price with South Africa’s Xstrata Alloys and other suppliers for high carbon charge ferrochrome at 120.50 cents/lb.CIF Japan.
The price for July-September period is down by 14.5 cents/lb, 10% down from last quarter’s settled price. The price is same as the Q1 price level of 120.50 cents/lb.
In fact, the discount rate ranged from 10% to 30% according to the volumes and other conditions.
