DLA reserves the right to award up to the full amount of the tender. Also, the removal terms in the solicitation specify that the tungsten must be removed from the DLA warehouse by September 30, 2013, the end of DLA’s fiscal year.

 

It is highly unlikely that DLA will hold its monthly BOA sale on May 21, sources said. The agency has not yet commented on its plans for the BOA, but it would not make sense for DLA to have a monthly BOA competing with a negotiated tender. “I can’t imagine DLA will resume the BOA until it has finished negotiations on the larger tender,” a trader said.
