China Magnesium industry sees overall stability and a sustained increase on output and exports in 2019. On the other hand, there are still spaces to improve on smelting and environmental protection level and the application of highly processed goods.
Primary Magnesium production in 2019 is 969 thousand tons and up by 12.2% YoY, average price declined by 3.3% YoY, and the profits of enterprises decreased slightly YoY.
Magnesium consumption was 485 thousand tons and up by 8.6% YoY in 2019. Cumulative magnesium products exports were 452 thousand tons and up by 10.2% YoY, accounts for 46.6% of the total magnesium production. (Translated by editor)
