[ferro-alloys.com]Indonesian coal producer Bayan Resources has encountered limited barging capability affecting cargo loadings, market sources said Thursday.

Market sources said Wednesday that the East and South Kalimantan producer is currently facing problems with their water level, limiting output.

"They are unable to load about 30 ships since last week because of the lack of water levels," a Singapore-based trader said.

Various market sources said they were still waiting for confirmation from the producer on the delays.

"We still do not know how long this will last," another trader said.

"The situation is hopeful of recovery," a market source familiar with the matter said."I believe these are normal operational issues," he added.

A call seeking comment from Bayan Resources was not immediately answered.
