Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] There are three types of calcium metal in terms of shapes: calcium lump, calcium ships and calcium granules. They’re usually used in producing high pure steel and steel plates, cored wires and so on. Besides, the major alloys include AlCa alloy and MgCa alloy.
Now China is one of the major suppliers of calcium metal. According to the different productive technology, it consists of two kinds: Electrolytic Ca metal and Aluminothermy Ca metal. At preset, Aluminothermy Ca metal is widely used in many industries than Electrolytic Ca metal.
In China, the annual production capacity of Ca metal can reach 60,000-70,000/mt. those plants are mainly located in Inner Mongolia, Henan, Shanxi, Sichuan, etc. At present, Electrolytic Ca metal output can reach 20,000 mt per year, and Aluminothermy Ca metal output is above 50,000 tpy.
