[Ferro-Alloys.com]Tsingshan Group settled its high-carbon ferrochrome purchasing plan on April 19, and  an increase of RMB320/T Cr 50% basis was seen in the new price, indicating the ferrochrome price is still in the continuation of rebound, which has greatly boosted the chrome market. The tender price from Tsingshan narrowed the spread between the ferrochrome producers and the stainless steel mills. Some ferrochrome producers remained their prices and some increased their prices after the tender price hike, and the transaction prices reached year high. The current prices of high-carbon ferrochrome from China's producers are RMB5,000-5500/T Cr 50% basis, and the prices are expected to keep strong in the coming month. Backed up by the increased high-carbon ferrochrome prices, chrome ore market became more active as some traders are seemingly ready to go bottom fishing when they desperately want to enter into contract with the sellers.
