[Ferro-Alloys.com] Mid- and high-grade ferrous nickel price continued to loss and low-grade held at steady in the short term. Low-grade ferrous nickel 1.6-1.8% priced at 1600-1650yuan/t; mid-grade ferrous nickel 4-6% quoted at 720-730yuan/ni, shed 10yuan; mid-grade ferrous nickel 6-8% traded at 720-730yuan/ni, down 10yuan; high-grade ferrous nickel 10-15% transacted at 710-720yuan/ni, lost 10yuan compared to previous week.

Steel makers did not purchase too much high-grade ferrous nickel during last week and the market lacks a guiding price. Local suppliers still actively sell their goods though low knock down prices. In domestic market, the downtrend seems to slow down which to some extent prop up the nickel price in the short term. By report, a steel factory looks to buy low-grade ferronickel at 1700yuan/t which appeals to many suppliers.
