In 2011, the high FeNi was quoted at RMB1450-1550/Ni(ex-works price with tax, by cash) while in half 1 of 2012, it decreased to RMB1200-1400/Ni and RMB1150-1200/Ni in half 2. The drop trend did not stop in 2013, which was offered at RMB890/Ni in mid of this year, even recording the lowest point in recent years. Even though the high FeNi tried to recover, the price was still under RMB1000/Ni. Affected by the Indonesian export ban, the high FeNi price experienced large fluctuation. Under this condition, some enterprises earned much money while some bore greatly high cost.

In the first two months of 2015, the high FeNi price stayed at RMB1060-1070/Ni while it was RMB970/Ni in the same period of last year. Affected by the nickel ores cost, the high FeNi basically had no drop space. According to the statistics, in early Feb. of 2015, the high grade nickel ore with Ni1.8% was quoted at RMB580/wet mt in Chinese market, rising by 45% year on year while the FOB(Philippines main ports) price increasing by 108% to USD71/wet mt.
