[Ferro-alloys.com]This week the LME nickel price slightly recovered while it was still in weak condition. On Jan.22nd, LME Ni closed at USD14795/mt, rising by USD320/mt compared with that of last week while the stock increased by 3510tons to 421842tons. On Jan.23th, Jinchuan nickel was quoted at RMB107500-107800/mt, up by RMB450/mt.

In recent week, the low FeNi price rose by RMB25-50/mt to RMB2650-2700/mt(ex-works price with tax). The operating rate was still in low level for the strict environmental laws and most of the factories showed that the spot supply was pretty tight. Meanwhile, the medium and high FeNi price increased by RMB30-40/Ni as medium FeNi with Ni 4-6% was quoted at RMB1060-1070/Ni and 6-8% was RMB1050-1060/Ni and High FeNi with Ni10-15% was RMB1080-1090/Ni. In view of the supply and demand of FeNi in 2014, the whole supply was comparatively loose while in the light of the increasing cost in winter and the poor profit, many FeNi producers were negative to sell their products.
