OM Holdings Limited announced that the first tapping took place at its ferroalloy plant (OM Sarawak) driven by OM Holdings in Sarawak, Malaysia on September 22.

This plant is scheduled to have a final annual production capacity of 308,000 tons, and has 16 electric furnaces (25.5 MVA each) and electrified the electric furnace which was completed first last week.

From now, the construction of remaining electric furnaces and the initial firing for these are scheduled to take place one after the other.
