[Ferro-alloys.com] Latest statistics of South Korea Customs showed South Korea imported 29,477 mt of ferrosilicon in July 2014, up 12.4% from 23,231 mt of June 2014 and markedly up 62.6% from 18,124 mt of July 2013.

In July 2014, South Korea imported most ferrosilicon from China (21,729 mt), closely followed by Russia (7,112 mt).The numbers of June 2014 were 21,000 mt and 4,680 mt, respectively. Thus we could see large increase occurred in imports of Russian ferrosilicon by about 2,500 mt.

In the period of Jan-July, South Korea totally imported 164,375 mt of ferrosilicon, of which 115,225 mt were from China and 44,549 mt were from Russia.
