On April 8th, 2014, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the State Administration of Taxation (SAT), approved by the State Council, issued the Circular on Issues Concerning Income Tax Preferential Policies for Small Meager-profit Companies. As stated by the circular, the scope of small meager-profit firms that are entitled to the preferential policy of reducing enterprise income tax by half will be expanded to those with annual taxable income lower than RMB 100,000 (including RMB 100,000) starting from January 1, 2014.
