[Ferro-alloys.com] Chinese ferrosilicon market hovered in the first ten days of April. Domestic price slightly dropped down compared with that in end-March.
Up to now, ex-work price of ferrosilicon 75# and 72# was concentrated to RMB5,700-5,800/mt and RMB5,550-5,600/mt while ferrosilicon 75Al0.1% and Al 0.5% stabilized at RMB6,600-6,700/mt and RMB6,200-6,300/mt. The export price of FeSi75# slightly dropped to USD1,350-1,370/mt FOB from the previous USD1,380-1,400/mt FOB. Exporters reported it was difficult to make transactions at the present price for smuggles in existence. Some exporters were offering much lower price to strive for customers, leading to transaction price dropping further.
Meanwhile, the price in the west market kept silent with ferrosilicon price at EUR1,125-1,150/mt in Europe and USD0.97-0.99/lb in US. However, the ferrosilicon price in Japan slightly dropped to USD1,380/mt around effected by Chinese price.
For the future market, producers in China almost have no profit in business, which lead them unwilling to supply materials any more. The price of ferrosilicon will slightly rebound in the future.
