[Ferro-Alloys.com] Indian domestic price of HRC with commercial quality increased to about US$611-627/ton, equal to US$568-581/ton CFR with the import duty of 7.5%.
However, because the domestic demand was not strong as expected, most buyers still could not accept the price lift of US$16/ton.
Bhushan Steel has decided to increase just by US$8/ton and kept an eye on the market for further adjustment.
In addition, some Indian buyers are considering importing HRC from China with lower prices. Currently, Chinese SS400 HRC with commercial quality is quoted at US$565-575/ton CFR. The price is expected to go down further in March while the delivery time is relatively long.
