According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, in May 2022, the average daily output of crude steel in China was 3.1165 million tons, a month on month increase of 0.8%; The average daily output of pig iron was 2.5965 million tons, a month on month increase of 1.5%; The average daily output of steel was 3.9552 million tons, a month on month increase of 3.3%, all reaching a new high in the year.
In May, China's crude steel output was 96.61 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%; Pig iron output was 80.49 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.0%; Steel output was 122.61 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.3%.
From January to may, China's crude steel output was 435.02 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%; Pig iron output was 360.87 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9%; The steel output was 549.31 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1%.
