On February 28, the Statistical Bulletin of the National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China for 2020(hereinafter referred to as “the Bulletin”) issued by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that the output of crude steel in China was adjusted from 1053 million tons to 106.467 million tons in 2020.
The Bulletin shows that the industrial added value of ferrous metal smelting and calender processing industry in China increased by 6.7% over the previous year in 2020. In 2020, the output of crude steel in China was 106.467 million tons, an increase of 7.0 % over the previous year, and the output of steel was 1.324892 billion tons, an increase of 10 % over the previous year.
In 2020, China exported 53.67 million tons of steel, 16.5 % lower than the previous year, the amount of 315.1 billion yuan, 14.8 % lower than the previous year.
In 2020, China imported 20.23 million tons of steel, an increase of 64.4 % over the previous year, the amount of 116.5 billion yuan, an increase of 19.8 % over the previous year.
