Brazil's December steel production increased by 17% year-on-year to 2.89 million tons

According to figures released by the Brazilian Steel Association, Brazilian steel mills increased production in December.

In December, 2020, China produced 91.2521 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year increase of 7.75%

Aslan pointed out that the industry could not accomplish most of the planned activities and projects last year due to the pandemic.

From January to December, China produced 1053 million tons of crude steel, with a year-on-year growth of 5.16%.

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued a regulation on carbon emissions trading, along with an allocation plan for emissions quotas on Jan 5. The regulation and the plan will take effect on Feb 1.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2020, China's crude steel output exceeded 1 billion tons, reaching 1.053 billion tons.
