Toshiba Corp. on Wednesday announced that it will stop taking new orders to build coal-fired power plants as it shifts towards greener, renewable energy.

China's benchmark power coal price rose slightly during the past week.

"To reach carbon neutrality by 2050, I am calling for all countries to stop building new coal power plants and for partners to stop financing them," said the secretary-general.

Update makes reining in number of days with bad conditions top priority.

First, China has made the decision because fighting climate change is the common responsibility of humankind.

The crude steel output from January to September hit 781.59 million tons, up 4.5 percent from a year ago.

"But now there is no more black dust and pungent smell. I am surprised with the lovely days here."

A sci-fi-themed amusement park is also expected to be set up in the Shougang Industrial Park by the end of 2021.
